Things go on here that cannot be explained by science. Several local residents say there are no ghosts, but there beyond doubt are terrifying things happening here in Coal City during the dark hours. A moderately see-through gentleman clothed as the captain of a liner has once in a while been observed spending time in an uninhabited dwelling in Coal City. A local person alleges that this spirit is the tormented soul of a long gone Coal City local resident. The ghost of a young gentleman wearing       a confederate uniform is every now and then distinguished fishing from the shore of Goose Lake on a dark night. One of the residents definitely claims that this spirit is the spirit of a traveler that was killed while journeying through Coal City some time ago. The ghost of a tied up man is known to have been witnessed on a handful of occasions   outside Goose Lake Prairie State Park looking menacing. In any case, this is a bad ghost that any commonsensical person would not want to come across. The phantom of a youthful lady soaked in blood may now and then be made out standing by a desolate road close to Coal City. Some of the people who live here say this ghost is that of a local person who resided here in Coal City a long time ago. A guy with a large hole through his upper body was noticed traveling on a bike on a murky highway near Coal City. The ghost mentioned revenging a murder. A woman's body with a pig's head came into view drifting down on Aux Sable Creek on a dark night. The bystander became frightened and escaped. Regardless of what, it's undoubtedly a frightening ghost that you shouldn't go looking for. A somewhat decayed human cadaver was witnessed taking pleasure in the scenery at Braidwood Station Cooling Pond Dam at midnight. The spirit didn't appear to be troubled by the observers. The spirit of a grower in a farmer hat materialized in Braidwood Dunes And Savanna Nature Preserve after midnight dragging a body over rocks. The spirit waved to the onlooker.
