Cypress, Illinois Ghost Tales

People who have never spent a night in this city will surely tell you it's a pack of lies, but with so many ghosts in Cypress you have a pretty good chance of catching a glimpse of one if you spend the night in this place.

A woman with a knife sticking out of her head is known to have been spotted on several occasions reading a book in Kratzinger Hollow before sunrise. Anyhow, this phantom certainly is menacing; one that any sane person would not want to meet.

The phantom of a lady with a bag fastened around her head has repeatedly been observed in Berryville Shale Glade Nature Preserve very late at night hiding a cadaver by a big boulder.

A large scary ghost is frequently distinguished at Anna State Hospital Reservoir
 
    Dam before dawn taking pleasure in the landscape.

The ghost of a strapped up gentleman has allegedly been noticed on one or two instances marching down a secluded road near Cypress.

The spirit of a young lady soaked in blood may frequently be noticed on the summit of Hamburg Hill at night studying the view. In any event, it's a menacing phantom that you shouldn't go searching for.
