Dongola, Illinois Ghost Tales


Day in Dongola, Illinois is exactly like day anywhere else in the US, but this is a town where the undeceased wander the roads during the dark hours. There have been lots of meetings with ghosts from a parallel world. Several locals allege these descriptions are untrue, but there beyond doubt are frightening things happening here in Dongola during the moonlight hours.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

A young-looking girl dressed in a blood-splattered wedding gown was made out looking at the water by Dongola Lake Dam at midnight. When the eye witness appeared the ghost ran away.

A female with a green face emerged throwing boulders next to Roaring Spring before dawn. The appearance of the eye witness terrified the spirit who then faded away. No matter what, it's a creepy ghost that any normal person wouldn't wish to encounter.

The ghost of a mailman was observed coming into view in a bedroom mirror. The ghost talked about avenging a slaying.

A feminine
 
    shape emerged floating down on Adds Branch at midnight. The eye witness was frightened and ran away.

The ghost of a man grasping a sword was witnessed on the peak of Rattlesnake Hill before dawn gazing at the vista. The ghost didn't appear to be troubled by the eye witnesses. Some of the people here allege this ghost is that of a local person who resided here in Dongola many years ago.
