Paranormal researchers found a strange energy around the large oak tree next to the cemetery. Submitted by Dur       Category: man I was coming home one night, and on 4th street over by the old b+b...I saw a strange looking man walking down the road..he looked at me as I drove by and it gave me chills...I looked in my rear view mirror as I went past him...and he was not anywhere in sight. Although it was around 9 or 10 at night. He walked aimlessly and then disappeared. I was sitting on my porch and noticed somebody walking in the park after hours and it looked strange. This thing was throwing fits and saying things and I thought that he might be drunk or something.       I heard him cursing somebody named Chris and another person named Amy. I didn't think anything of it until it just disappeared...creepy. He looked to be around 40 or so. I think I might have seen this person with 2 dogs before, but until this website and seeing him disappear I did not know it was a ghosts. I have heard other stories surrounding this   park about 2 boys killed in a car. This place is really starting to freak me out. The people that live their now, had 2 sons that were killed by a train coming home from Springfield, IL. People have said that they can hear them in the attic and that they have been seen in the house after they died. Recently there was a light on on the second floor. Rumor has it that after the boys died they boarded the up stairs off. I have never seen the light in the up stairs, Until recently!! for years it had been dark. But one night 2-3 weeks ago late at night I saw the light on and thought it was strange!!. Submitted by anonymous       Categories: train, lights, boys, home Weird sightings at bliss park in Effingham, IL: I saw a boy that looked to be 40 years old wondering bliss park on Lawrence street in Effingham, IL around 12:30 at night!!! He had 2 boxer dogs and he looked like he was lost. He hovered around 2 homes on the north-west corner of the park! As I got closer he threw fits and started going crazy. He was saying something about his father and cursing. Then he just disappeared!! I have only lived in this town for a year and I asked the local people about this kid. They told me they call this ghost the ''the Kid'' or ''baby boy'' . They say that he stole money from his father and he haunts his father's old rental homes. The people say that he used to beat his father as well. He used to live in a mint green home on the corner of Lawrence and Banker with his mother. The neighbors have all experienced weird things going on around the home. People say that the father was a loving, kind man who loved his family, until some of them got greedy. The youngest son was one of the ones that caused all the problems. He did awful things to the father and they say that he abused his dad. Well, the story goes that this son never amounted to anything and he wonders around trying to seek approval from his father who happed to die the same day as his brother---it was a sudden death--- with no health issues. People believed he might have died from complications due to his son throwing a table into his chest and causing problems. The son never moved out. People have said that they had a daughter ''helped'' in the legal matters after her father died. But according to neighbors she really took advantage and stole money and screwed everything up!! .
