The night was dark and stormy and the phones died as me and my friend spent the night at his brothers house in Freeport I joked that it would be funny for the fire to start a gas powered fire emitted a small flame seconds later but the gas was turned off I found out later the guy who owned the house last died there.

There's not one thing bizarre concerning Freeport, Illinois in the daytime, but not all of the inhabitants of this municipality are still alive. The ghosts of this town don’t leave anyone unstartled. Some locals claim there are no ghosts, but anybody who has stayed for the night in Freeport, Illinois knows better.
These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.
A female with a fairly see-through body is now and then distinguished gulping soda pop late at night on a park bench in Freeport.
The ghost of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead can once in a while be spotted covering a corpse by a big boulder in Bidwell Park at midnight.

No matter what, it's a bloodcurdling ghost that you do not want to come across after midnight.
The phantom of a gentleman wearing a military uniform was noticed having a seat at a coffee table in a Freeport building verbalizing into the thin air. This exact ghost has been seen often in this location.

of her head came into sight at Willow Lake Dam in the early morning hours looking at the panorama. Additional accounts of this ghost have been reported.
A medieval knight's armor lacking a human being inside was noticed gripping a skull in a canoe on Willow Lake. Many folks in close proximity have had identical events involving an almost identical ghost.
