I used to work as a security personnel at the hospital in town. I didn't believe in ghosts stories until one night I saw a man at about 3 a.m. in a secured wing of the building. I called for back up when I lost sight of the man. We conducted an entire floor search and found nothing. On another time I was making a patrol of the same floor and got on an elevator . I wanted to go down. The door's almost shut then opened and you could smell pipe s mole get on the elevator with me. The elevator went to another floor that was supposed to be haunted also and the smell got off. I went back to the security

office and didn't go on patrol for awhile after that. I even heard from the security manager that he recieved a call to for a report of a suspicious person in the basement of the phsyc. ward. A woman

seen the back of a nun early one morning. When she approached she told her goodmorning. When the sister turned around she had no face. There are many more stories I could tell you but I don't have the time right now.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.
A luminous human shape came into sight walking a Terrier very
late at night on a shadowy Granite City avenue. This is one of those ghosts that is distinguished very often close by. Local people argue that this ghost gets pleasure from terrifying foolish folks who
have the nerve to upset the serenity in Granite City.
The ghost of a young guy having on a rain coat was distinguished staring through flat windows in Granite City before dawn. The onlooker ran
away right after he distinguished the ghost.
A beheaded guy appeared watching movies in a Granite City living room after midnight. When the onlooker appeared the spirit escaped. A man who lives
here argues that this ghost can be the soul of a resident who passed away here in Granite City many years ago. In any case, this is a bad ghost that you shouldn't go trying to find.
