spirit of a gentleman grasping a sword was distinguished on the peak of Yellow Hammer Knob around midnight viewing the panorama. The viewer escaped after she witnessed the phantom. According to what the local residents assert, this ghost is that of a resident who resided here in Illiopolis some time ago.
A female with larvae crawling out of her nose became visible pointing at the onlooker in a row boat on Otter Lake. When the viewer materialized the ghost escaped.
