Kenney, Illinois Ghost Tales I lived in a house outside of Kenney that was formerly a one room schoolhouse.  My family experienced doors opening and closing, furniture being moved, cold spots, and sounds of school bell ringing and children laughing where no one was in sight for miles.  We only lived in the house for 9 months.  Very creepy. The ghost of a youthful lady clothed as a house keeper has every so often been spotted watching shows in a Kenney living room before dawn. The ghost of a homeless guy is once in a while seen by Coon Creek       burrowing a gap. No matter what, this is an unpleasant phantom that you shouldn't go seeking.
