This has gotten my attention, so every time I pass this area at night I say a quick prayer and I keep moving. . Submitted by Passerby       Categories: figures, road My car pool partner and I were heading north on Route 50 at 4 AM a few months ago, when approaching the Kankakee-Will County Road we witnessed what looked like a dark figure that took on the appearance     of a man walking south in the middle of the southbound lane than turning sideways heading east. You could make out the legs and arms but the figure was black. As we approached within an 1/8th of a mile the figure turned towards us and fell backwards on the side of the road, but before it hit the ground it totally vanished. As we got to that point we looked down and nothing was there. I was shaking so bad I asked my riding partner if he saw what I saw and sure enough he did.
