I was dazed at the fact that this thing was really there just. As the figure got close enough to see his flannel shirt and jeans. A car traveling south on route 50 headlights gleamed right through the figure and it disappeared completely.
This has gotten my attention, so every time I pass this area at night I say a quick prayer and I keep moving.

My car pool partner and I were heading north on route 50 at 4 am a few months ago, when approaching the Kankakee-will county road we witnessed what looked like a dark figure that took on the appearance of a man walking south in the middle of the southbound Lane than turning sideways heading east.

You could make out the legs and arms but the figure was black. As we approached within an 1 / 8th of a mile the figure turned towards us and fell backwards on the side of the road, but before it hit the ground it totally vanished.
As we got to that point we looked down and nothing was there. I was shaking so bad I asked my riding partner if he saw what I saw and sure enough he did. The location is right at that intersection with the train tracks adjacent to the road.
What caused this to happen and what might have happened there at one time. I wish I knew the circumstances of why this ghostly apperance took place. That night was the first time in my life I saw something like this and it made me believe there are things out there that we can't explain.
