The grave of Lovell Kimball situated in an obscure area nestled within the bluffs is a relatively unknown gravesite . One of the founders of the town that is now Marseilles, Illinois entrepreneur freethinker, failed capitalist Lovell Kimball now lies nearly 200 years after his death in a wooded place where no visitor ever ventures .
It seems those with a voice had a failed idea of placing a cemetery in a certain location then changed their

minds for some unknown reason . That left the man Lovell to eek out eternity in a very lonely place after his death .
The marker is still there and

so is the body . If you feel adventurous you may be able to locate this place . Please be warned that this may be private property so asked permission before you venture into the area .
