Custom Search Monticello, Illinois Ghost Sightings Monticello PAGE 1   2   3   4     We lived in a 100 plus yr old Home in Monticello 25 years ago where we heard footsteps also lights and water in the sinks would turn on by themselves. Doors and cabinets would be closed at night and be open in the morning. My mother saw the dark shape of a Man wearing a tophat at the top of the stairs. We all Felt we were being watched including other visitors to the home. 3 priests blessed the House on different occasions and     one had an Odd experience as he walked up to the House he Felt shoved. The dogs would grow and bite at the air and refuse to go upstairs. This House was owned at one time by a schoolmaster and we feel he's was our ghost.
