Naperville, Illinois Ghost Tales My father used to tell of a ghost that was seen in bad weather at the Ogden Avenue underpass.  He was a truck driver killed in the 1930's at the underpass and was seen to be waving a lantern to warn drivers to slow down and be careful. Phantoms are so normal in this town; a lot of people who live here don’t even lose sleep about it anymore. A number of people who live here argue there are no ghosts, but not all of the inhabitants of Naperville are alive. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a young-looking cowboy was seen at Centennial Beach taking a late-night dip. There are       additional descriptions about this ghost in the neighborhood. It's been argued that this exact ghost could be the spirit of a resident who passed on here in Naperville in the past. The spirit of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead has regularly been perceived pulling a corpse from the ice cold water of East Branch Du Page River at night.
