I used to live in New Boston, I now live in Joy Illinois. What is now the bank / apartment, use to be just a bank that this older couple owned a long time ago, when you walk by it at night when the whole town is in bed asleep, you will have this feeling the entire way of your journey that you are being watched, and sometimes it's like you can hear footsteps following you but when you turn and look they stop.
If you sit at the car wash on main st and look up at the windows above the bank at night, you will sometimes see and old woman watching over the town and as soon as she catches you looking at her, she disappears, I have not had this happen to me, but I have felt like I was being followed at night when walking by the bank.

Comment by AJW: I feel the same way in my home here in New Boston, IL. It scares the hell out of me. I hear things at night that is just weird. My lights flick off and on, and books would be dropping on my floor, and everyone is asleep. It's weird I hear footsteps at night, and again everyone is asleep.
Comment by Dani: Hello my name is Dani and my mom owns the Puffenbarger Building which has the bank in it we had inherited when my grandma passed. We are working on trying to turn it in to a haunted bed and breakfast if anyone has more information on it being haunted or any in general please comment back or post pictures.
