My great grand daddy moved to odell in 1889 when he was just a boy. He got himself a little farm just to the east of town and he worked damn hard to keep the farm going. I was born in 1949 and only a few months later my great grand daddy passed on. My grandpa took over the farm for a few years but he died of a stroke in 53. So my dad and my three Brothers were     left to work the farm. I started helping when I was 9 I'd plow the Fields with that old farmall 300 and I just loved it. I always knew that I would stay there and run that farm for the rest of my life. Summer nights were grand on that old farm my whole family would sit on our front porch and listen to the radeo. There was an old freight train that used to go through town every night and when it's whistle would blow at 9:00 pm. Every single night.
