Perry, Illinois Ghost Tales

A lot of ghost sightings have been conveyed by the locals. A number of locals assert these descriptions are untrue, but not all of the locals of Perry are quite alive.

The spirit of an airliner pilot is regularly made out in Hatch Hollow on a dark night looking angrily at the observer.

The phantom of a muscular lumberjack grasping a big axe is rumored to have been observed on several occasions at De Frates-Shaeffer Lake Dam in the early morning hours going out of control.

A bloodcurdling skeleton may often be observed floating along Bower Creek around midnight. Locals who have witnessed this ghost declare this ghost is that of a person who dwelled here in Perry in the past.

A glowing human form can be observed very often in Griggsville Historic District before
 
    dawn pulling a cadaver over rocks. One thing is for certain, it without a doubt is a bloodcurdling ghost that any sensible person wouldn't wish to encounter.

The ghost of a young-looking man sporting a jacket is once in a while seen sipping blood from a beaker next to Anderson Spring late in the night.
