The person left her room just as grandpa was walking back in. He said he hadn't seen anyone in the hall. This happened right around graduation time when several kids in the house were graduating various levels of school.
Later grandma found out that a girl who lived in that house had died on the train tracks in a tragic car accident right before her graduation. I had always been scared of the hallway right in front of that bedroom and the nearby

bathroom.
My hair stands on end just thinking about it. If anybody lived near Round Lake in the 70's or 80's you might remember the place. It was a
|
big pink house on the lake with 4-6 teen boys and one girl living there.
They had a dachsund named Clyde and boated a lot and uncle lar flew an airplane over the lake. I always thought that house was scary somehow even before hearing about grandma's experience. I was a little kid then.
They sold it when I was a teen ager moved away and are no longer with us.

Comment by Michelle: Update. My cousin took some recent pictures of grandma's old house in Round Lake. It got painted a dark turquoise color. It's not pink any more. They also seem to have had all the trees removed.
