On the face of it Washington, Illinois appears like a regular municipality, but this area has an adequate number of ghosts. Scores of phantom accounts have been told by the residents. People who have never stayed for the night in this city will inform you it's superstition, but the phantoms of Washington are out tonight seeking somebody to terrify.

A man who lives here argues that this ghost may very well be a renowned former time dweller of Washington. Anyhow, it's without a doubt a creepy ghost that you don't want to encounter late at night.
The phantom of a zinc-miner is sometimes seen standing by a wild highway in close proximity to Washington.
