Wauconda, Illinois Ghost Tales I live in Wauconda and every Sunday night at the stroke of midnight, a chill runs through my room.. Then I usually hear screaming out side and when I look out I see a man walking down the street with an axe when he gets right past my house he disappears into a mist... I'm not the only one to see it, many of my neighbors have seen him and a few people walking late at night have seen this from afar. Submitted by kelly Most of the folks here in Wauconda, Illinois are blissfully uninformed of the horrendous enigmas this municipality keeps; when the darkness of nighttime begins; things get menacing. Spirits are so standard in this town; many locals don’t even lose sleep about it any longer. Some locals assert there are no ghosts, but the ghosts of Wauconda are out tonight seeking someone       to freak out. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a guy having demonic signs etched into his arm has repeatedly been noticed attempting to utter something in Aram Park on a dark night. Whatever folks say, this is an unsympathetic phantom that you shouldn't go searching for. The   ghost of an appallingly mangled hunter hauling a dead wolf is often spotted wandering from building to building before sunrise on a Wauconda residential road. A female with no head has purportedly been distinguished on many occasions meditating in a rubber boat on Echo Lake. It has been declared that this exact ghost is the ghost of a vacationer that was murdered while journeying through Wauconda some decades ago. The ghost of a young-looking woman with a wire around her neck may frequently be noticed attempting to deposit a cadaver in Cotton Creek Marsh before dawn. A fantastically menacing ghost has now and then been noticed browsing through a fridge in the kitchen of a Wauconda house around midnight. The phantom of an aged lady carrying a shot gun is now and then noticed seated at the kitchen counter in a Wauconda building. The ghost of an old Indian chief has purportedly been perceived on one or two occasions drifting by on Cotton Creek before sunrise.
