Wauconda, Illinois Ghost Tales I live in Wauconda and every Sunday night at the stroke of midnight, a chill runs through my room.. Then I usually hear screaming out side and when I look out I see a man walking down the street with an axe when he gets right past my house he disappears into a mist... I'm not the only one to see it, many of my neighbors have seen him and a few people walking late at night have seen this from afar. Some of the dead and buried won't rest in peace in this city. Some local residents declare these stories are not true, but frightening things sure take place here in Wauconda during the night time. These       are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A gentleman that transformed into a vampire is rumored to have been distinguished on a handful of occasions dragging a cadaver across the ground in Aram Park late at night. A glowing human body can sometimes be observed seeking a box next to a parked Chevy in a Wauconda   parking lot at the stroke of midnight. The ghost of a pregnant female was witnessed smoking a pipe beside the water's edge at Echo Lake. When the eye witness came into sight the ghost fled. If you listen to what the local residents declare, this ghost may be a distinguished past inhabitant of Wauconda. In any event, this is a bad spirit that should be steered clear of. A beheaded gentleman materialized very late at night creeping out of Cotton Creek Marsh drenched in mud. The appearance of the eye witness terrified the phantom who then vanished. The spirit of a nurse with a blood-covered uniform showed up in a Wauconda area shoe store, pacing the aisles. The ghost mumbled about revenging an assassination. Many residents assert this ghost is the tormented soul of a former Wauconda local resident. The spirit of a guy carrying a blood-splattered machete was made out carrying a headbone before dawn on a sidewalk in Wauconda. The witness was terrified and fled. Folks here allege that this ghost is the ghost of a visitor that was killed while driving through Wauconda long ago. No matter what, it's a terrifying ghost that is preferably not interrupted.
