It was the building actually built on the Baker University Campus and is listed on the national Register of historic places. It is said to be haunted by at least two ghosts one is that of a Union Soldier that walks in the Tower at the top. It is said that during bleeding Kansas when quantrill's raid party was riding to Lawrence they had stopped on a Ridge near Baldwin city and planned     there attack. A Union Soldier who was out for a ride saw the riders and started riding to the main part of Baldwin city to sound the alarm. A member broke off from the party and chased him the Soldier trying to get away hoping to find someone working on the building that was slowly being erected was killed on the steps of parmenter hall. The second is that of a student who died in a car Accident out on one of the outer roads near the train depot in baldwin.
