Belle Plaine, Kansas Ghost Tales | |

We have heard and seen several ghosts here in Belle Plaine. First my home over in Watson Addition is haunted. While decorating for Christmas, alone in my livingroom, I had gold garland on the floor. I decided to take a break and I sat down to watch TV. The gold garland was about two feet from where I was sitting and it was rolled up in a circle. The garland came up off the floor by itself like a snake. It went about a foot into the air and stayed in that position for about thirty seconds I would say and then fell to the floor. While in the same home, my dog would bark at this same area for no reason.

On the wall in this same area I had candles in holders. As I walked through my home they would shoot out and hit the floor about 5 feet from the wall. Now behide this wall was a stairway that goes to

the basement. Everytime I would come up from the basement something very cold would rush up against my back. On the corner of this wall was a cabinet that faced into the kitchen. At times things would just fall out of the cabinet and hit the floor. In the master bedroom while sleeping in our king sized bed and my husband is a big man, something picked our bed up off the floor and moved it about a foot over. The movement was so strong that my husband jumped and yelled what was that? I told him things like that had been going on there for a while. My husband had been traveling and missed most of it.

We moved out of that home and moved to a home a few blocks over. Now in this home I smell rose perfume at certain times and it is always in the same spot which is my entry way. I have taken several pictures
in this home and there are always orbs everywhere. Sometimes at night I can see a shadow in my hallway that looks like a small person too. There are other times when out of the corner of my eye I see
little black things like snakes that will wiggle about a foot off the floor and disapear. My son took a picture of me at my computer and when we downloaded it, there is my mother inlaws face at the back
of mine and things have been rearranged on the wall behind me. Here is what will give you chills. I never took a picture of my mother inlaw with this camera because she passed away three months before
I bought it. My brother, sister inlaw and I have started ghost hunting now and have been invited to some homes on Belle Plaine. One home had orbs all around it, a shadow person in the upstairs window
and the best for last, the home had burned years ago. I stood in front of this home and took some pics with my digital camera. When I downloaded the pics, one came out with the house on fire. I also took
a pic of the back of the home where an old garage stands. In the pic there is a shadow coming up out of the ground like it is crawling to get out. The owners of the home told me that they found a headstone
close by where I had taken the picture. There is also a stone circle in the back yard that has a cross in it. While doing some investigating on this type of monument, I came across a story telling about
people putting this type of monument in the yards for protection and it was a gateway for ghosts to leave from my understanding.
