Hutchinson, Kansas Ghost Tales My great-great grandparents built a house after they got married. They built their house, started making a family, and the house has been passed down ever since. About 3 years after my grandpa died, I went and stayed with my grandma. My grandparents both smoked, but grandpa smoked a different brand than my grandma. Grandpa would stay up late, finishing his coffee, smoke a ciggarette and then head to bed around 2 AM. After falling asleep in my grandma and grandpa's bed, I woke up because I couldn't breathe. It smelled just like my grandpa's cigarettes and when I looked at the clock it was almost 3       AM. But what really made it wierd was that it felt like there was a weight on my chest, and I COULD NOT get up. After squirming for a minute, they weight lifted and the fan turned off. Then I dont know when it was moved but it became a mortuary. you can still see the old cross on the top of the house. After is was a mortuary it was turned into a a regular house. you can still see the cut out of the old door for the school house. My mother lived there as a child with her 3 other brother and sisters. Inside the house you can experience stompin coming from the 2nd floor with the chandeleers shaking constantly. My grandmother was really mean to the kids one day and whipped them with a tree branch that she made the kids select. Then the kids left and she had when to sleep(in the bedroom known as the old one room school house. With a rude awakening she woke up by a slap omn her face.
