The phantom of a dentist with a blood-covered uniform is often seen in Big Hill Wildlife Area late at night turning toward the viewer. It has been said that this precise ghost is the ghost of a vacationer that was murdered while passing through Mound Valley in the past.
A female with her right arm and left leg chopped off has been said to have been witnessed on one or two instances by Big Hill Dam at midnight gazing at the water.
The ghost of a guy carrying a blood-splattered spear can regularly be seen heaving boulders on the water's edge of Big Hill Lake.
