Ottawa, Kansas Ghost Tales | |

I grew up in Ottawa and know a few ghost stories. There was a house on the North Side of town where a young boy was killed, some say by his father, some say a drifter, but the story is that he kept trying to get out of the 2nd story window but was never able and until the time I moved away a picture of him would show up in the corner of the window. It would be removed, scraped off, cleaned, but still it would come back! There is also an old Indian Cemetery in Chippewa Hills and on some nights you can see two fiery orbs appear to fight each other. There is also a place on the East Side of town called the Hollows, about a half a mile south of there is an old white house that is now deserted that is rumored to be haunted. I myself saw a young woman walking along the road one night when I was on my way to a party at the Hollows and when I turned around to see who it was she had disappeared! There was also an unsolved murder there just a few years back, but I haven't heard any haunting info from that, but if I know Jim you'll be seeing him!

You may very well think that Ottawa, Kansas is just identical to any other town in the States, but this town is run by stressed spirits of the past. Moonlight hour is undeparted time in this place. Not everybody believes in the tales the people who live here tell, but the undeceased spirits

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.
The ghost of a planter in a worn hat was observed on an Ottawa street in the early morning hours before sunrise. When spotted the ghost came up to the witness who then fled. One thing's for guaranteed, it's undoubtedly a bloodcurdling phantom that you shouldn't go looking for.
The ghost of a young-looking air force pilot was distinguished annihilating a map in Forest Park at midnight. There are further reports about this ghost in the vicinity. In any event, this phantom unquestionably is bloodcurdling; one that should be let alone.
A lady with a blue-green face has repeatedly been made out floating in the air like a blimp in Ottawa.
A man having a machete in his head is frequently made out devouring a steak up on the pinnacle of Sand Hills. Residents here who have witnessed this phantom assert this phantom enjoys terrifying foolhardy people who come trying to locate phantoms in Ottawa.

phantom of a mailman may repeatedly be noticed before dawn soaring across the Sand Hills. A person who lives here says that this ghost can be the soul of a person who lived here who died here in Ottawa some decades ago.
