Custom Search Tonganoxie, Kansas Ghost Sightings Tonganoxie PAGE 1   2   3   4     No sightings but when I was about 12 years old we lived in an old farm house between tonganoxie and jarbalo on what is now 219th. street. it was on a summer night, hot and sweaty and wide awake and old houses do make some funny noises but on this particular night I heard what sounded to be footsteps and everyone was in bed and I counted the 12 steps from the bottom floor to the landing and then two more steps up to the top     of the landing and the 6 steps down to my room. about that time I was scared to death and jumped up out of bed, yelled and turned on the lights and absolutely no one was there. my sister used to walk in her sleep in the same home. my mother would find her downstairs in the kitchen, take her back to bed and she would remember nothing about it. also used to hear strange sounds outside the home. the home was owned by a family named enoch but was previously occupied by bud shoemaker, his wife, leo and steve shoemaker who I think are now in the auctioneering business. we   (continued on the next page...)
