Turon, Kansas Ghost Tales One night in either '86 or '87, My sister and I were out for a walk late one evening. We came to a house with it's front door wide open and no lights on inside.  I walked up to the house peered inside and said hello and recieved no answer.  I stepped inside and to the right was a set of stairs that led upstairs. I went to the foot of the stairs looked up and saw what appeared to be the silhouette of someone sitting in a chair.  I got scared and ran from the house.  We went back home and asked our neighbor who had lived in Turon for quite some time if anybody lived there. She said no and before I       told her what had happened there she told me the story of a lady that did live there several years ago that had to use a wheelchair and that she had hung herself at the top of the stairs. Ghost? Coincidence?    I don't know, but the incident scared me and when my neighbor told me the story, it raised the hairs on the back of my neck and a shiver down my spine. Submitted by Jess I grew up in a house that was built next to the original Turon Cemetary its part of the property all the time growing I have seen stange things and people my dad was digging one day and dug up and old headstone he has found jewlery and othe wierd things that shouldnt be found if the bodies were 'moved'. Submitted by Laina When I was about five years of age I saw a 'figure' with red shorts and blue shirt zip past me as I was looking in the mirror. I turned around but saw nothing. I also heard something inside the walls of the same house it sounded like a radio station not coming in. is this spooky or what? I know it wasn't my imagination due to it being in the middle of the day.
