His wife and son had died in a fire when he was away at work. It is said that when you walk by the mill at night you can here the sounds of the old man putting up the chains for his death. Some friends and I walked into the mill last year for halloween and what we discovered was odd. When we walked in we Felt a very cold chill but it     was warm outside the mill. Then we saw a flash of light then chains started rattling. There is definently something in that old grain mill haunting the town of Asbury MO.
