I lived in what used to be an old morgue where both residents died from old age and they used to walk into the kitchen and poor themselves a drink. Once I heard a cup set down on the counter and when I walked around the corner in the middle of the night I saw the light from the fridge and then the door slowly shut.
Besides hearing old music of records playing even when we moved out and nothing was left in the house, you could always hear footsteps and the feeling of being watched. But something darker lived there.

Something in the basement. When we moved in, the old examination tables were still there and there was a mysterious hose hanging out of the wall that only the imagination could tell it's use. One day after returning from a long family trip (nobody with a key for miles) I found all my posters ripped in half and one of two adult tigers and three cubs had been placed specifically on my bed with all the eyes poked out from behind.

On the floor laid an empty cup that had been smeared as if thrown against the wall. During slumber parties it was the realest haunted house come Halloween. Almost as if there was a door to the other side on that night.
