Ava, Missouri Ghost Tales I have a farm 15 miles from Ava that I felt was a special place the first time I set foot on it. I went out to take pictures of the moon and ended up photographing orbs I didn't see until I looked back at the film. I have since caught more of them. One morning I was passing by the kitchen window which over-looks part of the land and saw a man walking across with a long rifle in his left hand. I thought it was my husband at first, but couldn't understand how he got out there so fast, so I went to the front porch where my husband was standing. I immediately said a tresspasser was on our place. We ran through the house and out the back door and headed out to confront this pompous person who would be bold enough to be on our place with the many signs forbidding tresspassing. There was no one to be seen. We walked all around and even drove down the road, looking for a car or something. He had disappeared. It was pretty impossible that we wouldn't have caught him, because he was back behind the house and the fields stretch on for acres.       He couldn't have run that fast. He was tall and thin, wearing a hat that sort of looked like Jed Clampet's. He walked at a slow pace and never once looked toward the house even though there were two vehicles near. People know better than to tresspass in these parts or they might get shot. I don't have neighbors very close and they certainly   wouldn't be tresspassing! He didn't look like anyone around either. I feel like it is a great possibility that I saw a spirit. I was trying to find out if there was any history of this sort on my place when I came across this site, so I thought I would contribute.
