Love the stories, especially from those who don't live here. I have lived in Blackwell my whole life and I feel safer here than in the city. Just to clarify a few things. This area is very historic and was the center of major battles during the Civil War era. Have personally been affected by hauntings both in and outside of my house. It only keeps life interesting and on your toes. However, the personal tragedy of the young man killing his parents had nothing to do with the haunting or historic value of the area.

It is a personal family issue in which the surviors of this family still struggle with on a daily basis. However, the cemeteries, bridges, railroad crossings and tressels do provide ample haunting and hair raising fun for your entertainment if you are brave enough to try.

And by the way, we do have shotguns and respect others property as well, and only ask for respect. And, no, we are not devil worshipers. Happy haqunting. Submitted by Janie
