Bourbon, Missouri Ghost Tales Two mornings in a row, around four am I saw a man standing in my yard. He seemed to be wearing animal skins as a coat and he had no head. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A woman with her head and right arm and left leg cut off was observed laundering a bloody jacket in Blue Springs on a dark night. When seen the       ghost came close to the witness who then ran off. People here allege that this ghost is the struggling spirit of an old Bourbon local resident. An army outfit wandering about lacking a body in it was seen looking at the view at Budget Buster Dam at night. This precise spirit has been distinguished very frequently in this neighborhood. Whatever   folks exclaim, it undeniably is a chilling spirit that should be left alone. The phantom of a civil war soldier has frequently been perceived staring at a lady slumbering on a couch in a home in Bourbon. One of the people who live here definitely claims that this phantom is the phantom of a visitor that was murdered while passing through Bourbon long ago. The ghost of a gentleman having a name etched into his head is repeatedly made out smoking a cigar in Bowman Hollow very late at night. The phantom of an engine driver is rumored to have been noticed on many occasions up on Mineral Hill articulating into the air.
