California, Missouri Ghost Tales I lived on the corner of railroad and Francis st. and on many occasions you could hear what sounded like someone pulling a parcel with a chain along the railroad. We also saw a man sitting in a lawn chair in the neighbors driveway wh9ile no one was home. The neighbor later told us he would have  someone furiously pound on the door but when he immediately answered the door no one was there. We heard a baby crying from our sons room and when we checked on our son, he was sound asleep, but the crying turned to a whimper. The spirits of this town don’t leave anyone unalarmed. Folks who have never spent a night in this town will inform you it's a pack of lies, but everyone who has a home in California is not alive. These are some of the spooky       things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a female with a bag fastened around her head was made out staring through flat windows in California around midnight. This exact spirit has been spotted over and over again in this place. Many folks who live here claim this ghost may well be a famous old days resident of California. A   sizeable menacing ghost was observed pulling a corpse from the freezing water of Bear Branch late at night. Additional reports of this spirit have been conveyed. No matter what, it's a bloodcurdling ghost that is better not disrupted. The ghost of a young-looking guy dressed in a confederate uniform emerged reading a pamphlet at Jenkins Lake Dam late at night. Further folks in the neighborhood have had comparable happenings involving the same ghost. The spirit of a street bum was perceived browsing through trash cans on a California road. This ghost is exceptionally active in this neighborhood; there have been a handful of other stories of this particular ghost. One thing's for guaranteed, it is in all certainty a menacing ghost that you wouldn't wish to encounter before dawn. The phantom of a young female drenched in blood was observed suspended in the air like a cloud in California. This is one of those spirits that is noticed very frequently in close proximity. The ghost of an elderly hag has frequently been spotted looking at a woman slumbering on a couch in a home in California. In any case, this is an unfriendly spirit that you shouldn't go seeking.
