Custom Search Carterville, Missouri Ghost Tales <<<< Carterville MAIN PAGE        MORE GHOST PHOTOS    My friend Tom and I were out doing paranormal research at the Carterville Cemetery, around Midnight.  We had placed digital voice recorders (DVR's) in the Tomb and around the Cemetery. We were in the west (back) end of the cemetery and saw an apparition in the S/W section (where all of the youngsters who died in the 1916-17 flu epidemic are buried in mostly unmarked graves).  What we saw appeared to be Troll-like and ran up and down the hill, appearing and then vanishing into the ground. It went behind a tree, looked around the tree at us and then started towards us at a VERY high rate of speed - which is when we got into the car and left. We had some very interesting EVP's from the DVR's as well. Here is a sunset photo looking west across the etree tops.
