Cowgill, Missouri Ghost Tales In a house on 5th Street in Cowgill MO, there was a man who hanged himself in a bedroom on the upper level. While downstairs you can hear voices and people walking around upstairs. When you open the door, you can see a thick fog along the floor. But when you begin walking upstairs the fog disappears and the bedroom door slams. When you walk into the dreadful room, you can feel a cold spot where the man had hanged himself. I haven't seen the ghost with my eyes, but I have had conversations with some of the spirits. They are very nice unless you talk bad about them, that's when they begin to turn things on and off and slam doors. The odd thing is that they stay upstairs, they never come downstairs. I have had this experience first hand. So I know for a fact that there are spirits in that house!.
