The ghost of a youthful cowboy came into view trying to verbalize something in Bone Hollow on a dark night. The appearance of the watcher terrified the ghost who then vanished.
A creepy being was perceived heaving stones into the stream at Fristoe Branch before dawn. The ghost spoke of avenging a slaying. A number of of the people here assert this ghost can be the soul of a resident who passed on here in Cross Timbers some decades ago.

A woman with a partially see-through body has frequently been made out pushing orbs around by a secluded road close to Cross Timbers late in the night.
The ghost of a guy having on a sheriff uniform has been seen on a few occasions standing by a deserted road right next door to Cross Timbers. It's been argued that this particular spirit could be a well-known past native of Cross Timbers.
