I lived in Dover in a house my parents built. I lived there almost my whole life. There is a little boy who multiple people have seen with there own eyes including myself and demonic figure that watches you while you sleep. The property is terrifying.|

There is a red brick Civil War home on 24 highway I believe it's after you pass through Dover that is well known for hauntings. I believe the last residents had to move because of paranormal activity.

Saying the mansion was associated with a ''cult'' is a bit strong since they practiced transcendental meditation and the mansion was intended to be a retreat with a working berry farm. I have toured the house during the day some years ago. It was beautiful at that time though in need of restoration. The guy who owns it now doesn't take kindly to trespassing so leave it be or expect the sheriff (see below). Break-ins at Dover mansion lead to arrest of seven people submitted to the news 7 / 14/2010 despite the posting of multiple no-trespassing signs the property commonly known as ''the Dover mansion'' continues to attract trespassers followed promptly by Lafayette county sheriff's deputies. The new owners have done everything they know to do to prevent trespassing on their property and have turned to law enforcement for assistance and prosecution of all offenders said Lafayette county prosecutor Kellie Ritchie.
Friends and family keep a close watch and alert officials immediately when suspicious activity takes place. Deputies have made at least three trips to the Dover home in the past month and will continue to investigate break-ins.Seven people have been arrested over the past month on suspicion of felony burglary. Another nine received citations during the same time period but were not arrested when it was determined they did not enter the building. The class B misdemeanor of trespass carries a penalty of up to six months in jail and a $500 fine plus court costs. The class C felony of burglary carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison and a $5 000 fine plus court costs. Ritchie said a charge of burglary will be filed where there is evidence that the break-in was for the purpose of committing any crime such as stealing.

Comment by Alora: The land this property stood on was bought by a logging company and the house having been destroyed by vandals, has since been knocked down.
