Hollister, Missouri Ghost Tales | |

I had lived in my mom's house for 19 years in Hollister. While I no longer do, I have seen many things in that house. It still haunts me today. I saw a black shadow figure appear in my room. It was in the doorway. It did that a few nights then I switched my entire bedroom around. Then it appeared to my step dad. He was going down the stairs to the basement and he saw it in the stairway. The stairs are spiral stairs. He stood at the top and watched it go down to the basement. I saw a lady in 60's like attire in my room too. She had long blond hair and wooden shoes. Sometimes you could hear footsteps

in the kitchen and basement. I believe it was her. The foot always dragged too. When I asked my mom about her she told me it sounded like my Nana. I only saw her once. There is another spirit that really

creeps me out. In my old room I would walk out of my shower and he would appear behind me. You could see him in the mirror. When you turned to look he was gone. I looked at him long enough in the Mirror one day to see what he was wearing. He was wearing like a light blue sailors pants. He was an older man about 40 or so and he had a white shirt on. When I turned he was gone. He was there every time I even took a shower. There is still yet another spirit of a man. He was my friend when I was younger. So I thought. Like an imaginary friend. I didn’t think anything at the time but what 3 year old has

an imaginary friend that is a gay man. He told me stuff when I was younger like where he was buried. That he was murdered in the garage which was later my bedroom. He said he had a lover that was killed
too. This seems a bit odd to even me now but it really happened. There is so much more. I could never keep a friend to stay the night. They always left at night cause they would mess with them. One girl
was in our guest room. She reported that the light switch was turning on and off by itself. It was an older light and she watched the switch thing move back and forth. She was so scared she left at about
1 in the morning. One other wouldn’t sleep in the house. She saw my laptop freak out when we typed in white magic and she saw a door to a closet open up after we had closed it. My printer also flew off
the countertop we had it on. We stayed outside that night in a camper. My other friend said she saw the bathroom door slam shut and then the make up room in my mom's room slam right after that. She left
at about 2 in the morning and never came back. There are at least three other people who have seen stuff that is not related in anyway and to this day won’t go into the house. At night it’s the worst.
My mom once woke up to VHS tape cases fly across the room at her that she had got from a yard sale. She also had her locked bedroom door slam open. It hit and knocked a chip out of an old antique that
she had. Mind you it was looked. There is many more sightings in that old house but it would take forever to tell you my life experiences in that house because I am only 20 now. I have been away for a
little over a year now. My mom and step dad still continue to live there and see things happen. They are almost used to it and so was I. I don’t ever want to stay in that house again though. .
