Custom Search Lexington, Missouri Ghost Sightings PAGE 3 Lexington PAGE 1   2   3     (...continued from the previous page) many more died in the house as it was used as a military hospital and prison.  All kinds of gruesome procedures were done there, including amputation, all without ANY anesthesia.  Many men were supposedly hanged to death, and some say you can see the tiny frayed bits of the rope still hanging from the porch. There are blood stains in the upstairs rooms, as some would suppose, from the bodies of wounded and dying soldiers.  Minis balls,     and other remnants from this battle remain in the walls of this awesome and I believe haunted house.  It is open to tours too.
