I have recently moved to Marionville from Springfield. I live in a duplex right off the square, supposedly the home next door to me is the old jail of Marionville that has been turned into a home. I do not know if this is the cause of some paranormal activities that have been going on in my home, or if the home itself has some sort of history, maybe even just because of the location of the home is on the square. But, when I first moved in, I was upstairs in my room during the middle of the day, folding clothes on the floor, I was alone, and had been getting a creepy feeling most of the day. Goosebumps, paranoia, feelings of being watched (which is often). As I was folding clothes, I fell asleep right there on the floor, shortly later, I was awakened by the sound of someone coming up the stairs, I thought that my boyfriend had come home from work. As I opened my eyes I caught a glimpse of a shadow like figure turning the corner around the top of the stairs, and then it was gone. I got up to ask him what he was doing home, but nobody was there

but me. I Have also, heard the sounds of footsteps upstairs while I am downstairs, and lights that have been left on in a room, will turn off when I am in another room. I also hear sounds of banging or knocking on the walls, and footsteps on the staircase coming from the duplex next door.
