The spirit of an old lady hauling a handgun has been said to have been perceived on frequent occasions staring at the water by Argyle Lake Dam in the early morning hours before sunrise. A number of folks assert this ghost is the undead spirit of an old Meta local person. Nonetheless, it unquestionably is a frightening phantom that any reasonable person would not want to meet.
