I use to live in Old Appleton and my friends and I would go to an old house that was recently torn down as dares. You would walk in to the old couch that was left there and when you got there you could hear the footsteps on the second floor.|

Comment by Dorothy: Was that the Schultz/McLane house?.
Comment by Dorothy: If this was the Schultz/McLane/Wucher house you are correct in hearing your footsteps upstairs. Read on on this site and you will find the stories that I have written about this same house.

Does anybody have anything about the old plantation that was located around the Oak Ridge area. It was a swan family that owned it. I think it was in that area and the black families that lived in Jackson were all descendants of that plantation.

Comment by anonymous: There was a plantation at a point of time. There was a Swan family that lived there. There were several black families in that community. When the blacks were freed from slavery each black family was given a 40 acre plot.
The community was named Concord. They had their own school and church on an abandoned road referred to as Concord road.
