I live next door to the poor farm. I have also been in there with my wife and two children. The place is definitely spooky and run down. However, it is NOT haunted. I was at the Pow Wow previously mentioned and didn't see a thing in the windows. On the way back I stopped at a trailer on the property who was having a party and shared a beer with them. They went on about how haunted it was. We got a good laugh out of it. They moved shortly after not because of ghosts, but money. No children were ever tested there. It has long been a homeless shelter complete with records of guests and staff. Again, no children stayed there. Only a few females ever resided there besides the cook.
There is also a graveyard by the side of the place but the county road has been blocked off. You can see where the pine boxes have left indentations, and there is one lone marker. I mow it once or twice a year with my tractor. The bar has been closed for years, and I have been there too to have a few beers and play pool, again, NOT haunted and children were not tested there. One year the owners tried a haunted house there, but apparently it was unsuccessful. There is graffiti left over inside from then.

The poor farm is not open to the public as it has a collapsed wall on the far back side. To go in you must speak with the owners Paul and Elaine they live on the grounds. There is no telling if they will let you in! My family are friends with both Paul and Elaine as they were very hesitant about letting even us go in as they did not want for us to fall and get hurt.

I'm Native American and had to dance at a place that was a small family community on the residence is a 2 story building really old... The people said that the building used to hold kids for testing. Anyway I was taking pictures from the outside and when I got home me and my friend look at the picture and can see kids in the windows on the 2nd floor.
