I agree with Sgt Davis when he was talking about this place he described. He mentioned a house between Richwoods and Cadet in a very heavily forested area off old 49 Loop built in the 1850s. It sounded very similar to a house I used to go to with friends many many years ago. It too sat high on a hill. You drove off a gravel road like ''into'' the woods where there was a drivable path, came to a metal gate up this hill where the house sat atop of it. This path entrance was heavily wooded, and as you came out of all the brush the house was in the middle of a big field up on a hill. People whose family owned it were always talking about it being haunted in the many years I went there with them. Then after about 10 yrs I had my first ghostly experience, which to tell it would be ''like'' a long ghost story! It was really wild!
Not only did I experience something that night, but two of my friends were having experiences as well. One said she heard something that resembled a bag of gravel being dragged across the floor in the bedroom directly upstairs in the room they were sleeping in, the living room. I then heard a ball rolling across the floor back and forth in the room across from the one she heard the gravel in upstairs, so this would be the room across the one directly above my friend's ceiling. A lot of weird things began happening in this house after this. The night this happened my friend's husband heard a scream echoing from the woods outside. The next day we heard two girls flipped their car over and one died, but this was a 20 minutes or more driving distance from the house where we were. Maybe Sgt Davis is right about something evil being in the area. I don't know for sure, but I believe ''anything'' is possible!.

As a boy in the early 80s I lived in a house between Richwoods and Cadet in a very heavily forested area off old 49 loop. The house had been built around 1850s, this place sat high on a steep hill, set back in the woods off an old washed out gravel drive.
