Rolla, Missouri Ghost Tales There is a place called goatman's grave. Very scary place at night. you get bad head aches and your throat gets really dry. Submitted by Taleena       Category: gravesite In 2003/2004, my family rented a house at the corner of 1st and Elm street in Rolla, MO. This house was built in the 1800's, and was very worn down. We started to redecorate and remodel a bit. We had just moved out of a house with paranormal activity, and we were looking forward to a new start. One of my best friends told me that her childhood friend lived there and said it was haunted by an old woman. I believed her. You can feel something in that house. After we finished up the painting, and applying wall paper, things started to happen. My keyboard would play by itself, and not even be turned on. My youngest brother, who was 5 at the time, went upstairs and said he saw a little girl in my room playing my keyboard. There is a bathroom upstairs with an old claw foot bathtub. The faucet is a bit rusty and really hard to turn. We rarely       used it since the floor was rotting around the tub. One night I was getting ready for bed in that bathroom. I was brushing my teeth and all of the sudden I felt something freezing cold on my neck, which I disregarded. It did make the hairs on my neck and arm stand up. It freaked me out just a little, but I kept on brushing my teeth. Not even a minute   later, the bathtub faucet turned on full blast. I screamed and ran to my brothers room (down the hall)and started beating on his door, which was locked. I ran down to my parents and told them what happened. My step dad at the time, ran upstairs to find the water still running, and the bathtub overflowing. Other minuscule things went on during our time there. Shadows would appear out of nowhere, our items would disappear, footsteps were heard all through the day and night. We left after a year. I am trying to find out some information on the history of the house. So far I haven't found anything. All I know is that it is haunted and is up for rent yet again. The woman seems to be wonder around my room and never leaves it, remaining in the closet. The children roam freely through the house. All three ghosts/spirits/demons are non-friendly to say the least. Often arguments arise before they are seen. When we realize their around the fighting ends and they seem to go back into hiding.
