The ghost of a young-looking cowboy can from time to time be made out before sunrise drifting down Bear Branch. Several of those who live here assert this spirit gets pleasure from terrifying unwise people who come searching for spirits in Santa Fe.

The ghost of a zinc-miner was made out at Bergthold Dam before sunrise meditating. The ghost was unconcerned that there was somebody other in attendance.

A female with a half see-through body became visible in Mark
 
    Twain Birthplace State Historic Site before sunrise dragging a cadaver across the ground. The appearance of the onlooker scared the ghost who then faded away.

The spirit of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead was perceived going through a fridge in the kitchen of a Santa Fe apartment at night. The ghost talked about revenging a killing.
