I lived in Slater for 5 yrs. Pretty much all the buidings are haunted. My House was haunted by a brownie. A brownie is a playful spirit. His name was George. He loved to to trip u going up the stairs and he would always rattle phantom keys when you were about to go to bed.
But one of the big haunt in that town is the manor. You get a different feeling when you walk past it and I would be walking by in at night around

2ish am and see lights flicker when there are no lights in the building.
And the train station is another big haunt. I've seen dark shadows

on the Walls when nobody was there or I would sit on the loading dock and here phantom people talking or here phantom train whistles.
Like train whistles around the 50's.
