Lots of spirit accounts have been conveyed by the people who live here. Not everyone trusts in the descriptions the people who live here tell, but there truly are scary things going down here in Stanberry during the night. A person with a skeleton face in murky robes is known to have been perceived on many instances calling people's names in   the middle of Chapman Branch. A drifting ghost can be spotted time and again staring at the water by Lindley Lake Dam late in the night. The spirit of a young-looking Indian fighter has once in a while been perceived in the rear seat of a Chevy by the driver catching a sight of the spirit in his rear view mirror in the early morning hours. A woman who lives here argues that this phantom likes frightening foolhardy people who come trying to locate phantoms in Stanberry. No matter what, it undoubtedly is a menacing phantom that you wouldn't wish to meet before dawn. The ghost of a tough lumberjack gripping a large axe is once in a while distinguished watering plants in the front garden of a flat in Stanberry.
