pointed over and over until I could talk. I said ''guys there's someone standing there,'' and my dad came over, and it just vanished.
Now I'm living in California, and I've been doing a lot of research of Native American and paranormal activity in Troy Missouri. I've never told anybody this but my family. I just had put this out there.

Where to begin... I guess at the beginning my family used to own large portions of Troy/Lincoln County. We even have a private family cemetery. That being said one of my mother's cousins died in Cuivre River State Park in his car that he loved on a rainy night. His body was badly burnt, and his right arm in fact was never found. The car was total wreck. He had apparently lost control and drove head first into one of the steep hillside trees. Now you can call me crazy; I really do not care. However, ever since I was little I never liked going to the park at night because I always saw headlights that seemed to follow me till we get to the one lane bridge. Then they suddenly disappeared.
Shortly after high school my friends decided to have an overnight camping birthday party at the camp ground at the top of the hill just past the swimming area. That night when we were all sitting around joking and laughing a pair of headlight turned onto us from a distance and revved the engines. My friends were scared. Hell, I was scared I got goose bumps right now just remembering that night. The car just kept revving till finally I said to my friends ''guys, I think we need to get out of this park. Whoever or whatever that is obviously doesn't want us here. '' We abandoned our tents and climbed into my friend's car, and he drove us with the headlights following us the entire way. It was staying just far enough back that we could not get a glimpse of the type of car it was. Until before we reached that bridge, and the lights turned off and disappeared. Needless to say, we went to my grandfather's house off Davies Road until the sun came up. Then we went back and grabbed our things.

When I was a child in the 1980s we lived in an old two-story house just off HWY 47. Outside a side door there was a small building that was only feet away from the house. I always felt uneasy about that building. My brothers and I had separate rooms upstairs. We always slept in the same bed with me in the middle and one foot touching each brother as I was afraid something would get them. One day in the dining room I saw a young woman in the corner by the sliding door in a white dress. It was a misty white, but she was in an old dress like in the old westerns. We moved out and in 1993 my grandparents bought that same house after the great flood of 93. Grandpa tore that old building down and built an attached garage onto the house in its place. Grandma and grandpa's Yorkie always sat in that dining room facing that same corner I saw the woman barking. My grandma (without me telling her anything I saw as a child) said her house was haunted by a young woman dressed in white. I then told her my story from when I was a child. I had never told anyone till then for fear of being thought of as crazy. Till this day I believe in the paranormal.
