The phantom of a guy clutching a sword has been noticed on several occasions by Birkhead Lake Dam before sunrise gazing at the water. A woman with worms crawling out of her eyes can now and then be perceived in a rubber raft on Horseshoe Lake mounding stones. Anyhow, it's undoubtedly a creepy ghost that is rather not upset. The spirit of a tied up female was perceived destroying a map next to Cave Spring before dawn. The watcher got scared and ran off. In any case, this is an intimidating ghost that you wouldn't want to encounter in the early morning hours before sunrise. A female hauling her head under her arm showed up flying over The Cave In after midnight. The ghost didn't seem to be concerned by the watchers. Loads of folks who live here say this spirit is the spirit of a visitor that was killed while traveling through Winfield some decades ago. Regardless of what, it's sure a menacing ghost that any sane person wouldn't wish to bump into.
