Auburn, Nebraska Ghost Tales Avenue Apartments. Courthouse Avenue. Used to be an old hospital. 2 encounters. One, on the backside of the apartment building. A child has been seen and heard saying MOTHER!!''.  Residents have left abrubtly from that apartment several times.  My old apartment. 3rd floor. Bed shaking, and dishes clanging around in the middle of the night. Yet, 2 years later when I moved out, another resident claims she and her husband witnessed the same thing, without me even mentioning the story.  I left the restaraunt in tears and very terrified. We believe that the original residents of that old hospital refuse       to leave. Some of the dead   won't stay underground in this city. Some residents argue these accounts are lies, but with so many ghosts in Auburn you have a relatively perfect chance of distinguishing one if you stay overnight in this place. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The scary ghost of a Viking may regularly be witnessed around midnight chasing a passing VW on a dark road close to Auburn. In any event, it's undeniably a bloodcurdling spirit that any reasonable person wouldn't wish to run into. A creepy skeleton may be spotted very often in Half-Breed Tract Historical Marker in the early morning hours burying a body by a sizeable boulder. If you talk to the residents, this phantom takes pleasure in frightening foolish folks who are courageous enough to disturb the peace in Auburn. A man that turned into a vampire has once in a while been witnessed in the center of Codington Creek screaming at the witness to disappear.
